• • 5000 years of surgical tools and their development.

    An old professor of mine once told me that the objects that we create around us are an extension of the human body. Although the body is an incredibly fascinating and innovative thing, man has constantly sought to improve it with the creation of tools that make our lives easier. A computer could be an extension of the brain; a car could be considered an extension of the legs or a scalpel can be considered an extension of the hand.

    Franklin Roosevelt once said that “we have nothing to fear bur fear itself.” Often, we don’t really take that advice, and ignoring it can be understandable.
